Each General Practitioner (GP) doctor and Allied Health Practitioner at the Flinders Peak Medical Centre operates her or his own, independent medical service business from the premises. Each Practitioner engages the Flinders Peak Medical Centre to provide consulting space, reception, and nursing services where applicable, as well as access to equipment and consumables. No Allied Health Practitioner or GP is employed by the Flinders Peak Medical Centre and as such each decides their own billing structure and consultation times subject to facility availability.

Our General Practice Registrars are employed by the practice under terms and conditions set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Registrars are supervised in general practice when they have completed their university degrees and hospital placements. GP Registrars are required to work at two, different general practices and usually stay for 12 months at each practice. Many of the GPs currently working at the Flinders Peak Medical Centre were GP Registrars at Flinders Peak who returned to the practice once they gained their qualifications.
The Flinders Peak Medical Centre doctors, staff and administration are proud to work together as a teaching practice and to actively contribute to the future of Australian General Practice healthcare.
