The Flinders Peak Medical Centre practice is composed of General Practitioner doctors (GPs), Registered Nurses and Support Staff. An accredited Mental Health Social Worker offers consultations in the practice every fortnight.
We offer consultations for:
● Assessments and Plans including asthma & diabetes assessment and management, chronic condition management plans, GP mental health treatment plans, Indigenous health assessments, menopause and perimenopause health assessment services, 75 years old and over health assessments, Quit smoking programs,
● Family Medicine including antenatal care, child & adolescent health, insertion and removal of Mirena IUD and Implanon, male health – well men’s checks, female health – well women’s checks,
● Immunisations and Vaccinations including adult and child immunisations in accordance with the Australian Immunisation Schedule, adult COVID-19 vaccinations, Q Fever testing and immunisation,
● Infusions – Aclasta Infusions and Iron Infusions,
● Medicals and Reports being mainly employment, insurance, legal and Workcover medical assessments and reports, commercial drivers licence assessments, medicals for limited recreational activities (harness racing and drag racing),
● Minor Surgical Procedures including treatment of ingrown toenails,
● Skin Cancer Checks including some excisions of lesions.
Our Registered Nurses also offer:
● Patient education for self-administration of auto-injector medications,
● Well-baby checks,
● Wound dressings.
We do not do medicals for aviation, boxing, diving or weapons/firearms licenses.
